Dentures are a great option for people who are missing teeth. Whether the teeth were lost due to disease, malnutrition, an accident, or a genetic disorder, dentures are a reason to smile again. We offer both full and partial dentures to our patients including same day dentures. While not everyone is a candidate for dental implants they are a great long term alternative to removable dentures. Dental implants are replacements for the roots of your teeth. Implants provide a strong foundation for fixed (permanent) or removable replacement teeth. Implants can replace one tooth, or your whole mouth. Implants can be made to match your natural tooth color so as to maintain a natural appearance. As an advantage over removable dentures, implants help to maintain existing bone structure in the jaw and prevent further bone loss. Our patients have found that both dental treatment options are great for improved appearance, improved speech, improved comfort, easier eating and improved self-esteem. While these can provide a longer term solution, they do not replace regular visits to your dentist. It is important to maintain a schedule of regular check-ups to prevent any major issues from arising with your implants or dentures. We have installed a CBCT imaging device at our office to allow for 3 dimensional pictures to be taken of the jaw. This aids in determining if a patient is a good candidate for an implant and where best to place the implant. It is also used during implant placement to guide the dentist.
